How it works

The SAT Subject Tests are used in students’ application packages for college admissions. They are not required by all colleges, but many colleges require at least two or more tests. Each college’s policies vary, so be sure to get the specific information from their website. Many schools recommend taking the Subject Tests since strong scores can strengthen an application. There are 20 specific subject tests that are grouped into five general areas: English, history, languages, math, and science. Each standardized test lasts an hour.
